Peace, Be Still

On May 22, 2011, a devastating category EF5 tornado ripped through Joplin, Missouri, claiming the lives of 160 people, and destroying about 1/5 of the entire town. Unfortunately, natural disasters like these continue to appear in news headlines across the country and around the world. In times of devastation like these, people need. In every way. And there are others who are willing to go into these ravaged areas and be that help.

This drawing is based on actual photographs of the sky in Joplin, Missouri, as the storm rolled away and the sun pierced through the dark storm clouds. It is made entirely of Bible verses based on God's promises as we face life's storms and He helps us to rebuild after they are gone.

Purchase a copy of this drawing today, and a portion of the proceeds will help disaster relief efforts through Compassion International. The original is sold as part of a silent auction to raise funds for a youth mission trip to Joplin through White's Chapel United Methodist Church, Southlake, Texas.
